Can I Use The Mobile App Offline?
The DermEngine app is able to be used offline in cases where there are internet problems, or you are performing basic actions such as adding a spot or image. However, the app is designed to be online, and requires a connection to sync to the server, load patient data. etc. Please note that in order to add spots or images the patient has to be already added to DermEngine and available on the app.
Once your internet returns, please be sure to open the DermEngine mobile app to ensure that any data/images documented during the outage is successfully synced with the web app. For security reasons, data is not saved to your phone, and instead is encrypted within the app to protect the information such as for cases where you phone is lost.
