How Do I Add Or Upload Total Body Images?

Web

DermEngine’s total body photography feature allows you to quickly capture and sync images between the app and web platform. Alternatively, if you are using another imaging device, or have stored images on your computer you can upload your photos directly to the web platform. To learn how to add photos, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click the Patients button in the top menu bar, then select Patients List option. Click the “...” of your desired patient and select Total Body Photography.
Alternatively, if you are already in the patient's profile, you may simply select the Total Body button located at the top right corner.

  2. Select a body part to view or upload images.
Note that if you have already added an image to a body part, a small number will appear in the corner. To upload an image click Add images.
  3. Add total body images. Your options are:
    • Upload from your computer
    • Quick Snap
    • Camera (live-video dermoscopes only)

Select files and add, repeating as necessary.
  4. Once complete, select the image to view it directly in the patient’s Total Body Photography profile. DermEngine’s algorithms will automatically identify all lesions within the image (circled white) for your convenience. Here, you have the ability to adjust the algorithm’s sensitivity by adjusting the “Lesions Shown” slider.
  5. Select a circled lesion to perform an action:
    • Delete lesion
    • Map to body map
    • Take dermoscopic image of lesion

  6. To document an undetected (not circled) lesion, simply select it within the body image and then click the  icon. Alternatively, you may hold down Ctrl/Cmd to select multiple undetected lesions and add them at once.
  7. To quickly navigate to another body part to add/upload images or perform another action, click the Total Body button in the top menu bar. From here, you can select the body part you wish to go to. Alternatively, if you wish to access multiple body parts of that patient in a short period of time, you can pin the Total Body view to your screen by clicking the  icon.
  8. The Total Body view will remain pinned to the left side of your screen for your convenience. From here, you can easily access any body part with less clicks for quicker workflows. You can unpin this view at anytime by clicking X.
