      How to Add a Patient from Another system?

      DermEngine allows you to conveniently create patient profiles from an image. You can also add patients manually- learn how here. 

      1. Select the Patients List option in the top menu bar.
        1. Select Patient List
      2. Click the icon to extract data from an image. This creates a profile from the extracted information like patient name, date of birth, etc.

      3. There are 3 different ways to upload an image for extraction.
          1. Take a Screenshot: Take a screenshot from another tab or window. A pop-up will appear to confirm the screen you wish to screenshot.
            1. *Important: Please check your browser's screen sharing permissions before taking a screenshot. An error message will appear if you do not allow the correct permissions.
              1. On Windows (Chrome, Edge, FireFox)
              2. On Mac (Safari, Chrome, Edge, FireFox)

                1. Click the lock icon in the address bar. 

                2. Find "Share the screen" and choose Allow.

                3. Reload the page.
                Safari

                1. Click aA > Website Settings

                2. Set Screen Sharing to Allow

                3. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording and ensure Safari is enabled. 

                4. Refresh the page.
                FireFox

                1. Click the crossed-out monitor 

                2. Change "Share the screen" to Allow.

                3. Reload the page.
            2. Choose a specific tab/window/entire screen. Select the page then press 'Share'. 
            3. At the same time, a screenshot will be taken to the page you have selected. Return to the DermEngine page where you will see your screenshot.
            4. Press 'Extract Data'. The system will pull information from the screenshot to fill out a patient profile.

            5. Before creating the profile, a warning will appear where you have to verify the accuracy of the data extraction. 
            6. If there are any issues, click 'Report Issues' and describe what we are missing to help us improve.
          2. Upload an image: If you have an image saved on your computer, you can upload it by clicking the 'Upload Image' button.
          3. Drag-and-drop: If you have an image saved on your computer, you can simply drag and drop it to this section of the form.


       

      Additional notes about taking a screenshot:

      If the '+Add Patient' button is disabled for you, please ask your enterprise owner if that is not you. To disable this user restriction, follow these steps to toggle it on:

      1. Go to your profile
      2. Click Manage Enterprise
      3. Go to Access Permissions
      4. Under User Restrictions, toggle off the 'Disable Add Patient' feature.
        • Once this is off, you can now add patients!
        • This feature is not yet available on DermEngine mobile yet, but is coming soon.
