How Do I Add A Patient?

With patients, you can store data in a centralized location and provide in-office or teleconsultation services for your practice. There are a few ways to add a patient. To get started, follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Patients List option in the top menu bar.
    1. Select Patient List
  2. There are two ways to add a patient: Manual Entry and Automatic Image Extraction
     
    1. Click '+Add Patient' to manually enter the patient's details.


      1. Create the new patient profile with First & Last Name or Health ID. Note that in each scenario, there are certain fields required to be filled out:
      2. If you enter an email address of an existing patient, you will invite them to share and access their images with you via email invitation.
      3. If the patient already exists on DermEngine, request access to their current profile

        Alternatively, you can create a new profile with a different email address.

      4. Fill out additional information by clicking 'Additional Info' in the bottom left.
      5. You can fill out their home address, phone number, skin cancer history, and more. When complete, click Create Patient.

        Congratulations! You've successfully created a patient.

Now that you've set up your DermEngine account, it's time to add your first patient. By adding patients, you can store data in a centralized location and provide in-office or teleconsultation services to streamline your practice. To get started, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the  icon in the Patients List.

  2. Create a patient based on their full name or Health ID:

Create A Patient via Full Name

  1. Select the Full Name tab, then enter the patient's First Name, Last Name, and Gender (required).

  2. You can invite the patient to share and access their images. In this case, please enter the patients email address and tap the "Invite patient to share and access images". The patient will receive an email invitation.

  3. Next, you can enter their Date of Birth, Ethnicity, Skin Type, Health History, Address and Phone Number (optional). When ready, tap the Register Patient button.

Create a Patient via Health ID

  1. Select the Health ID # tab. You may enter the patient's First Name, Last Name, and Email (optional). Note that Health ID and Gender are required.

  2. You can invite the patient to share and access their images. In this case, enter the patients email address and tap the "Invite patient to share and access images" option. Please note the patient will receive an email invitation.

  3. Next, you can enter their Date of Birth, Ethnicity, Skin Type, Health History, Address and Phone Number (optional). When ready, tap the Register Patient button.

Android

Now that you've set up your DermEngine account, it's time to add your first patient. By adding patients, you can store data in a centralized location and provide in-office or teleconsultation services to streamline your practice. To get started, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the  icon in the Patients List. You can create a patient based on their Full Name or Health ID.

Create A Patient via Full Name

  1. Select the Full Name tab, then enter the patient's First Name, Last Name, and Gender (required). If you enter the email, you can select if you want to invite this patient to share and access emails. Select Yes or No.

  2. Next, you can enter additional information such as Health ID, Date of Birth, Ethnicity, Skin Type, Health History, and Phone Number. Once ready, select the Register Patient button.

  3. If you've added any consent forms to your DermEngine account you will be prompted to have your patient provide their signature. To learn how to have a patient sign their consent click here.

Create a Patient via Health ID

  1. Select the Health ID # tab. Enter the patient's Gender and Health ID (required).

  2. Next, you can enter additional information such as First and Last Name, Email Health ID, and Date of Birth. If you enter their email, you can invite this patient to share and access emails (the patient will receive an email invitation). Check the box at your preference.  When ready, tap the Register Patient button.
