The new Patient Gallery feature is designed to provide healthcare providers with a flexible and streamlined way to manage and compare images for their patients. This page allows users to collect and view images of all types without assigning them to specific spots or body parts, enhancing image management efficiency. Key functionalities include side-by-side image comparison, lock, rotation, tagging, zoom, full-screen viewing, and an image carousel for easy browsing.
Please continue reading to learn more about uploading, viewing, and assigning images.
Uploading images:
- From the patient spot page, select 'Gallery'.
- Select 'Upload Image'. To learn more about uploading images, please refer to this FAQ.
- When your images have been uploaded, you can review them from the carousel by dragging and dropping them into the viewing pane.

Notable mentions when viewing the images:
1. Viewing Panes - View a patient's clinical or dermoscopic images.
2. View Full Size Image - Click to display the image at its full resolution on your screen.
3. Download Image - Download the single image. To learn how to download patient images, click here.
4. Image Type - Select the image type to either Dermoscopic, Overview, or Total-Body.
5. Tags - Add, edit, or remove any tags for that image.
6. Lock - Lock the images in to compare and ZOOM.
7. Parallel Zoom - Move the slider to zoom in and out of an image. Click the lock button to parallel the pan and zoom between the two images simultaneously.
8. Rotation - Rotate the image by scrolling with your mouse.
How to Assign images to a spot:

- From the patient spot page, select 'Upload Image'.
- Select Gallery, check the image you wish to Assign, and click Add.
iOS
For iOS, learn how to take images, how to assign images to a spot, and how to re-assign the image type.
How to take Images:
- From the patient spot screen, tap the Gallery Icon.
- Tap the camera icon.
- Select the image type.
- Bring your lesion into the frame, tap the lesion to focus, and tap the shutter icon to take your image.
- You can easily switch between image types (Overview and Dermoscopic) by tapping the icon. For Total Body, return to step 3.
- When you have finished imaging, tap Done.
- You can now see all the images you have taken inside of the Gallery.
How to Assign images to a spot:
- From the Gallery screen, tap the image you wish to assign. Note that you can select multiple images at a time.
- Tap Assign.
- To Assign the image, 1) Tap the existing spot profile OR, if you need to make a new spot, 2) Tap the Body Map Icon, or 3) Tap the Mole Box Icon.
How to re-assign the image type:
- From the Gallery screen, tap the image you wish to re-assign its image type.
- Tap the Image Type Label.
- Update the Image Type label.
