Lesion detection slider's in Total Body Photography

The lesion detection slider is an AI-powered tool designed to identify lesions in TBP images. When reviewing images in Total Body Photography, there will be two sets of lesion detection filters. These filters will differ based on whether you're reviewing a single image or comparing two images.

For a single image, the filters are:

  • Score
  • Size

For comparing images, the filters are:

  • Change
  • Size

Definitions:

  • Score - The Score represents the algorithm's confidence in identifying a lesion, based on size, color and pattern. This is not an assessment of malignancy or risk.
  • Size - This indicates the relative diameter of each lesion.
  • Change - This shows the degree of change observed in each lesion pair.

  1. When reviewing one image, you will note the slider options are Score and Size. You can adjust the sliders from left (most sensitive) to right (least sensitive).

  2. To compare two images, select the second image from the right column and then select 'Start Matching'.
  3. When comparing two images, the slider options are Change and Size. You can adjust the sliders from left (most sensitive) to right (least sensitive).

Notable mentions: There is a report mismatch tool that offers you the option to advise of any poor matches, missing pairs or inaccuracies in change detection labels.
