How Do I Share A Case With A Non-DermEngine User?

You now have the opportunity to share a patient's case with colleagues who are not on DermEngine. In this scenario, they will be able to view the patient's file without having access to any of the platform's advanced analytics capabilities or editing the patient's information. To learn how to share a case with a doctor on DermEngine click here. To learn how to share a patient case with a non-DermEngine user, follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the Patient List button in the top menu bar and select the patient you wish to share.
  2. Next, select the icon next to Patient profile photo. 
  3. Alternatively, scroll down to “Share With” and click the Share button.
  4. You have the option to share that specific lesion or the entire patient file.
  5. Enter your colleague's email address. Once done, select the 'Add' option. 
  6. If this is the first time you're sharing this specific patient or case with this colleague, an inline message to double-check its accuracy will appear.                                                                   
  7. Next, enter their First & Last Name, Country and a Message (optional).
  8. For increased security, set an expiration date for when the shared link will be no longer valid.
  9. The doctor will receive an email stating that you have requested to share that particular patient's case with them to view. To proceed, they must click View Patient.
  10. They will be redirected to DermEngine and prompted to enter the autogenerated six-digit code that is shared with them in a separate email. Once entered, they will be provided with viewing access to the shared patient's profile or spot (depending on the request).
